    Career Exploration

What’s Your Best Fit?  We’ll Help You Figure It Out

Not sure which career is right for you? No worries. A liberal arts education is all about finding out who you are and where your passions lie. And we can help you explore your options.

The Center for Careers, Life, and Service is there for you from your first day on campus. Your CLS advisor will help you discover how your interests and passions converge and connect.

No need to choose just one — you can try out more than one option as you learn more about career options through hands-on experiences.

At Grinnell, if you don't necessarily have an idea of like what career path you want to go down after graduation, we've got exploratory advisors, and their entire purpose is to help you explore what your career options might be in ways that you might not necessarily get in your classes or from your academic advisor. And so that is really helpful for introducing you to the career communities that we have. So I'm in the Arts, Media, and Communication career community as well as the STEM career community. Whether you're interested in the Arts or Economics and Business, the Health professions, Law, the career community advisors are pretty accessible. If you have a quick question, you can just shoot one of them an email, and they're good about like getting back to you or if you have like a longer thing that you think might require a meeting that you just go to Handshake to set up an appointment.
